The OAA Announces 2010 Conference Logo Competition
for students attending an Ontario School of architecture

Students at the four Schools of Architecture in Ontario and RAIC Syllabus Students who are currently enrolled in an Ontario Chapter of the program are invited to design the Ontario Association of Architects' Conference logo for 2010.

“We looking for an innovative and eye-catching design that illustrates “the changing face of architecture”, this year’s Conference Theme, says OAA President, Gerrie Doyle. “We are excited about finding the image from within the next generation of architects.”

If you are looking for a creative challenge and enjoy graphic design and/or illustration – here’s a great opportunity to showcase your talents to the architectural community.

      The Changing Face of Architecture

Participate in helping shape the future of the profession. The profession in Ontario and throughout the world is made up of individual architects with unique skills and perspectives who collectively share a passion and a commitment to the built environment. We are experiencing extraordinary times and the evolution of architecture seems on an escalating fast-track. Today we are facing changes in practice including BIM, new forms of contract, new technologies, developing global competition and the emerging solutions in sustainable design. As a profession we are dealing with the challenges of demographics, changes to the Intern Architect Program and recognizing Internationally-Trained Professionals. It takes all voices and contributions to effectively shape change.

Be a part of it! Join us for the 2010 OAA Conference, May 5 – 8, 2010 in Windsor at the Caesars Windsor Hotel and Casino.

The Conference is being organized to:
      • Create awareness of the top issues among the profession
      • Engage everyone involved: students, interns, architects and senior practitioners
      • Create a buzz and recognize contributions from everyone

Deadline for entries is January 15.

The winner will be chosen by the OAA Conference Committee.
