COOPER, Christopher James, Member October 27, 1956 - June 29, 2010 passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at home with, Galina, his wife, at his side along with his two faithful dogs, Koan and Kiai. Chris’s determination never once flinched during his year long battle with cancer. Chris continued to hike, run, exercise, teach karate, enjoy the outdoors, paint and show his art. Chris was the son of Kenneth and Eleanor Cooper, brother to Karen Cooper, uncle to Rebecca and Kaitlin Cooper, step-father to Victoria Yermolinsky. Chris was a kind, generous, affable man who revelled in thoughtful conversation or a good laugh with his family, friends and anyone else he engaged. Chris was very much a link between so many different people in so many walks of life, including his beloved karate kids at the Metro Central YMCA. As an architect Chris enjoyed many successful years in the industry before stepping away to follow his passion for painting.
Chris’s works can be viewed online at www.chrisjcooperstudio.com.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice. There will be a memorial for Chris in his peaceful place of reflection, his own backyard, on Saturday, July 10, 2010 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM, 453 Main Street, Toronto, M4C 4Y1
